- We are founded in faith. Daily prayer, weekly masses and regular service opportunities are hallmarks of our students’ experience, as is sacrament preparation in advance of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation.
- We are accomplished through education. We are proud of our robust arts and humanities curriculum including Art, Computer, Library, Music, Spanish and PE. We engage our students in visual arts clubs and competitions, as well as theater arts productions. We offer 3 & 4-year old Pre-K classes, with newly renovated classrooms, to give our youngest Shamrocks a jumpstart on their education. Students in need of additional assistance are able to turn to full-time teaching assistants, counselors and reading resource teachers. Our alumni are regularly awarded scholarships to area Catholic high schools and maintain the honor roll.
- We are enabled by technology. This year, we launched a 1 to 1 Chromebook program for our middle school, further enhancing our multi-platform device media center and a web-based school management communication system – along with Smartboards and projectors in every classroom.
- We have a culture of care. We celebrate individuality and cultivate an inclusive culture. We have a no-bully policy and develop peace builders. We also give back – providing countless service hours and regular collections for more than 30 organizations including Boys’ and Girls’ Club Humane Society, Kosair Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics & St. Vincent de Paul.
- We offer a well-rounded experience. St. Martha offers a variety of activities and sports. We are 22-time Toy Bowl champs and have also claimed recent City Championship titles in Baseball and Volleyball. Off the court, our students shine in everything from Book Bee and Quick Recall to theater productions and art club. Future leaders proudly represent St. Martha at the Kentucky United Nations Assembly, Kentucky Youth Assembly and Governor’s Cup.
- We offer programs that cater to busy families. St. Martha offers extensive bus service, as well as summer and after school care. Not only do these programs provide a nurturing and familiar environment, they boast their own impressive curriculum – complete with theme weeks and speakers from the community.
- We have lots of fun! Our highly-involved community hosts a wide array of events that’ve become part of our culture – from daddy-daughter dances to health fairs and everything in between. The fun extends to parents too with adult summer sports leagues, coaching and volunteer opportunities.
- We work with families to make it all possible. The Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) was created for the sole purpose of providing financial assistance for those who want a Catholic education for their children or grandchildren. Last school year, St. Martha students were awarded over $200,000 in tuition assistance. St. Martha also provides assistance to those who are eligible. Applications for CEF support can be accessed online at www.ceflou.org or call the CEF office at 502-585-2747.
