Congratulations to our 4th and 5th Grade VEX Robotics team!
Statewide, there were 182 teams competing in VEX competitions this year. BOTH of our teams were in the top 20 who qualified to participate in the State Robotics tournament on Saturday, February 24. We placed 7th and 10th in Kentucky! One team may possibly qualify for the WORLD TOURNAMENT! We should know for sure this week.
Throughout the year, students worked collaboratively to build, program, and drive their robots to be able to perform specific tasks in a competitive field. Teams also researched and gave STEM presentations about robotics. They journaled in design notebooks to keep track of the changes in their robots as they learned more each tournament. (They even won the Design Award for most accurate notes in the Regional Tournament!)
All of this success is happening in the first year of St. Martha participating in competitive robotics! We commend all students for their excellent work, and Mrs. Bale and Ms. Mueller for being truly inspirational leaders. Way to ROCK Robotics!
