Mary Sullivan is the Health & Safety Coordinator at St. Martha Catholic School. As the Health & Safety Coordinator, along with several other duties, Mary handles all things COVID related. Mary began teaching religion over 35 years ago. She has served as a youth minister and a substitute teacher in the Archdiocese of Louisville. We were thrilled when Mary accepted our offer to move from substitute at St. Martha to a permanent staff member!
Q & A with Mrs. Sullivan
Highlight of the year:
The highlight of any year is when students give thoughtful/honest answers and not just say what they think you want to hear. It speaks to trust and that is always a highlight.
Passion:
I am passionate about empowering students to examine, explore and think for themselves.
Philosophy:
Students will remember how you made them feel long after they may have forgotten the specifics of a lesson. I look for ways to encourage a student to feel accomplished according to their own skill level.
Favorite thing about St. Martha:
My favorite thing about St. Martha is the positive environment that comes from both students and staff working together to help each other succeed.
Fun fact:
I am blessed with a great husband and four wonderful kids. I enjoy traveling and reading.
